DSL stands for “digital subscriber line” and it is a technology that offers fast Internet connectivity over a telephone line. It exists in various forms, such as asymmetric, symmetric, high-speed DSL, etc. These subgroups are collectively referred to as xDSL.
In the past few years, we have mostly been deploying DSLAM connections. In short, this technology acts as an interface between traditional DSL infrastructure and high-speed digital communications channels, for example a fiber-optic cable.
